Intro

Breathlyz was a portable breathalyzer brand launched in the USA using Facebook, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, and Reddit Ads. With over $4,000 USD in ad spend, the brand generated ~$3,000 in revenue from 70+ orders at an average order value (AOV) of $42.85.

Idea

In 2022, I spotted a portable breathalyzer while browsing Alibaba. It struck me: “Isn’t it almost silly that in this day and age, we still don’t know how intoxicated we are after a couple of drinks?”

I believed a consumer-friendly, affordable device could ride on DUI awareness trends in the U.S. and appeal to both individuals and parents concerned about safety. With that conviction, I bulk ordered 50 units from Alibaba and started running ads across multiple platforms.
